Bachelor programme for teacher education Geography and Economy

The bachelor programme for teacher education in the subject Geography and Economy is part of the overall eponymous programme for secondary schools. Its most outstanding characteristic is the obligation to combine two school subjects with each other or with a special pedagogical subject. Students acquire basic skills in all geographical disciplines (physical, human und integrative geography, geospatial technologies), economic education und especially didactics with focus on teaching methodologies. As all programmes for teacher education also the one for the subject Geography and Economy is based on four fields: basics in educational science, practical studies in pedagogy, scientific training in Geography and Economy and in the second subject. Note that it is mandatory to study the MSc programme for teacher education in order to be entitled to teach the relevant subjects at schools.
