To submit the degree certificate
The following documents must be submitted to the secretariat of the institute in order to graduate.
Applications can be submitted in printed form to the secretary's office or by e-mail.
Applies to all fields of study:
- Transcript sheet completed and signed on the PC
- current study record sheet (see UNIGRAZonline)
- Transcript of the study data / Transcript of Record (see UNIGRAZonline)
- any certificates of recognition
- Proof of academic success or certificates for courses completed at a third-party institution (e.g. TU Graz)
Concerns Bachelor Georgaphie:
6th certificate of practical experience for Bachelor's degree
Applies to Bachelor USW Geography:
7. completed and confirmed form of the environment-oriented electives
Deadlines for graduation
The processing period for the protocol sheets at the institute is approx. 2 months!
Therefore submit them in good time!
There is no guarantee that transcript sheets for Bachelor's degree courses submitted between July 15 and September 15 can be processed in time to register for the advanced Master's courses.
Deadlines for the Master's degree:
According to the decision of the Dean of Studies and the Director of Studies (effective March 1, 2010), the bound version of the academic thesis must be submitted to the Dean's Office at least four weeks before the intended examination date. The upload date of the Master's examination in UNIGRAZonline is used as the submission date.
The form "Registration for the final board examination" must also be submitted to the Examinations Office at least two weeks before the planned date.
At this point in time, all courses must have been completed and submitted in accordance with the curriculum before registration for the final board examination can be approved by the responsible Dean of Studies.

Information on the Bachelor thesis
The Bachelor's thesis is an independent, scientific, written work that must be written in conjunction with an ongoing course!
The following timetable applies to all Bachelor's theses:
Winter semester | Summer semester | |
Announcement of the Bachelor's thesis | 15 January at the latest | June 15 at the latest |
Submission of the Bachelor's thesis | June 30 at the latest | 31 January at the latest |
The Bachelor's thesis must be submitted to the secretary's office using the completed form.
Bachelor's theses are only possible in conjunction with an ongoing course!
This course must be included in the curriculum and must be successfully completed!
Bachelor's theses are possible for courses in the following modules:
- Bachelor Geography: Modules F, G, H, I or J
- Bachelor's degree program Environmental System Sciences - Geography (UG2002/2017W): Modules B.2, I.1, J.1, K.1, K.2, K.3 and L.1
- Bachelor's degree program in Environmental Systems Science - Geography (UG2002/2011W): Modules B.4, B.5, I, J, K or L
- Bachelor Teacher Training GW: Modules B, D, F, G and I
There are no Bachelor's theses for Master's courses.

When submitting the Bachelor's thesis, please note that it must be sent to the supervisor in the agreed form.
The submission of the Bachelor's thesis must be done independently via UNIGRAZOnline independently.
