Teacher training program
Overview of the Geography and Economics teacher training program
Bachelor's degree program in Geography and Economics (GW)
The Bachelor's degree program in Teacher Training GW is subject to the regulations that apply to all teacher training programs. Its most important feature is the obligation to combine the respective school subject with another school subject or a special pedagogical area. Students receive a solid basic education in the sub-disciplines of geography (physical, human and integrative geography, geographical technologies), economic education and, in particular, subject didactics with a focus on teaching methods. Like all teacher training programs, the Bachelor's degree program in Geography is based on four pillars: Educational science foundations, pedagogical-practical studies, subject training GW and subject training in the second subject. It should be noted that in order to teach the relevant subjects at schools, the Master's degree course in Teacher Education must be completed.
